yeah, but it's going to get boring once you run outta "Canon" ponies to use, with OC's everyone can have fun with it and the "owner" of the OC would no doubt feel gratitude, I just don't see why this ain't a thing yet, (and I am not talking about the multi-colored "god" power OCs though)
Maybe once we start running low on canon ponies we’ll consider allowing OCs, but there are still plenty we haven’t done!
At one point I thought I saw a rule against OC ponies, but its beginning to seem like you're going to run out of canon characters! Are you open to using OC characters now, and if so, what are the requirements, if any? I can imagine you know which character I would have in mind, assuming you recognize my tumblr identity and associate it properly. [and I don't actually mean my tumblr identity character, just to prevent that possible mistake.] Call me vain, but I'm also an art whore! xD
We only use OCs on special occasions, such as a moderator’s birthday or when a friend of the group is in need of cheering up, we are still not open to OCs in the standard selection contests.
The "Already used ponies" link says that the most recent one drawn was the Master and that is not the case. Since the most recent is not a canon character, will she still show up there? Who is she?
We don’t include the OC ponies since they are exceptions. She is Faux though.
Pretty sure they were referring to the announcement of who each challenge is about when said challenge is announced. We haven't seen anything posted but streams, and not all of us can enter a stream to see who our subjected pony is.
We do leave that post up through the duration of the challenge, however it’s removed once the challenge ends.
The way it works is:
- A challenge is announced, normally one hour prior to the event.
- The pony to be drawn is decided in the Livestream by the channel.
- A reference image of the pony to be drawn is posted at the time the challenge starts.
- 30 minutes later submissions open, 10-15 minutes after that the submissions box closes and the posts are collated.
- The reference is deleted and the drawings go up.
I can't find anything on the page telling the name of the characters drawn in each challenge. Maybe you could leave up the posts that announce who is being drawn?
